Williamsburg Tours
“Come and take a peek at Williamsburg’s awsome history”
Why waste your limited time wandering the streets with a guidebook trying to figure out what there is to see? A private tour guide can give you the key information that would normally take days to gather on your own. During your personal tour you will learn interesting facts about colonial life, about the people who lived here. You will have the opportunity to ask questions and zero in on your interests. Tours are given with smiles and humor.
If you homeschool, our tours are for you. We have many home-schooled guests that find our tours are a great learning experience because of the special way we present our nation’s history in the colonial setting.
Take a 2 hour, 3 hour or longer walk with your personal guide. You will learn the origin of Colonial Williamsburg Virginia; it’s 20th century restoration and discover details of pre Revolutionary War colonial life in Virginia. You will visit the oldest building in Williamsburg (1698) and go into a classroom where three presidents of the United States went to school.
This tour will help the visitor become well oriented, and make later post tour visitation to shops and restored historic buildings more interesting. Your guide will direct you along the same paths through town walked by George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, James Madison and others that played leading roles in the colonies’ independence. No admission tickets will be needed while on my Williamsburg tour. I leave the visitation to Colonial Williamsburg historic buildings up to my guests to do on their own time. My tour time is best spent introducing guests to the history and what is available to see on their own. Therefore, tickets or admissions to Colonial Williamsburg historic buildings and trades are not included in the tour price. If access to Williamsburg historic buildings are desired after my tour, passes can be purchased at the time of the visit.
Tickets to Colonial Williamsburg VA gives you access to historical buildings and colonial tradesmen practicing their crafts. Click here for cost of Colonial Williamsburg Ticket information.
Below is a letter from a recent visitor who took my Williamsburg VA Private Tour
March 25, 2007 The tour was awesome. I’m already hearing stories about the girls telling people about colonials. They thoroughly enjoyed it and I speak from all the adults when I say we did too. It was truly educational, informative and by all means entertaining. Thank you from the girls and adults of Troop 68, Camp Lejeune Service Unit, NC.
